Day 2 - Rock

Since I just recently acquired my macro lens (Christmas gift from my wonderful Husband!) I am still enjoying getting to know this fun lens. I've always had a fascination for close-up photography and this lens lets me get up close and personal. Today I chose a rock as my subject. This is, I believe, a piece of shale. The light spots you see are actually reflections in the rock. I love things that sparkle and these stones always catch my eye. They are the perimeter of one of my flower beds and on a sunny day they just shine so beautifully.

Settings for this shot are: f/18, 1/400 sec, ISO 800.
